Less Food for Blow-Out - $ 525.00
Balance Left for League Payout $2,175.00
Less Team Bonus for First Half Winner - $ 80.00
Less Team Bonus for First Half Runner-Up - $ 40.00
Less Team Bonus For Second Half Winner - $ 80.00
Less Team Bonus For Second Half Runner-Up - $ 40.00
Less Bonus for Overall League Champion - $ 200.00
Less Bonus for Overall League Runner-Up - $ 120.00
Less Team Bonus for Most Points Earned for the Year - $ 80.00
Balance Left for League Points Earned Payout $1,535.00
Total Possible Points for the entire season without any forfeits taken:
19 weeks x 9 matches x 40 possible points = 7,200 Points Possible
Then the payout per point would be as follows (Taking the Total Points Earned for the entire League):
$1,535.00 / 7,200 Points = $0.213 per point
Last Year the team points for 19 weeks ranged from 283 points or ($0.213 x 283 = $60.28) to 421 points or ($0.213 x 421 = $89.67).
Mid-Season 3-Best Ball Tournament

League Blow-Out (Handi-Cap Scramble)
Entry Fee $60.00 per team plus skins. The total amount of entry fee’s paid will be used to fund all the prizes for the tournament. No League dues will be used for this tournament. However, League dues will be used to pay for the food.
We will start on Monday, May 5th.
Players which are new to the league and do not have a handi-cap must play 18 holes before the first night of league and turn their scorecard in to the Sprig club house where I will pick them up. Otherwise the player will start at a zero handicap.
Until the course conditions have improved enough as deemed by league officeres we will be rolling the ball (up to 6 no closer to the hole) everywhere (Rough, Fairway and Greens) where necessary.
Sincerely,
Tracy Miller

2008 Rules for Playing in League
***League Dues are $150.00 Per Team***
1. League dues must be paid by the 4th week or the team will not be eligible for points there after.
2. If there is a question on rules during play please play two balls on the hole and ask for a ruling at the club house from the Pro (J.D. Hull) or Tracy Miller.
3. The only exception is that we will not enforce the one ball rule. You can play what ever ball you choose to play and switch balls between holes before teeing off.
4.
If it is marked on the board that we are playing Lift Clean and Place on that day it will only apply to shots that end up in the fairway or the fringe of the green. This will be a decision made by Tracy Miller. If the course is in poor condition we will roll the ball everywhere (fairway, rough and greens) where necessary (up to 6 no closer to the hole).
5. Bushnell's (Yardage finders) are legal and may be used.
6. If a player moves his ball other than with a stroke, the player shall incur a one stroke penalty and must place his ball back as it layed originally.
7. You may only have 14 clubs in your bag. Two stroke penalty for each hole the player had more than 14 clubs in his bag up to total of 4 strokes maximum and loss of each hole for the player who had more than 14 clubs in his bag up to two holes maximum.
8. Trees and Tree roots & Unplayable Lie - The ball must be played as it lies, or the player can take an unplayable lie. If the player takes an unplayable lie the player has two option for a free drop with a one stroke penalty. 1st the player may drop a ball within two club-lengths of the spot where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole. 2nd the player may drop a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped. A player does get relief from a newly planted tree or one which is staked with no penalty.
9. Out of Bounds or lost ball - If a ball is lost or is out of bounds, the player shall play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (not where the ball went out of bounds at).
10. Embedded Ball Rule will be in effect which states that relief without penalty for a ball embedded in its own pitch-mark may be taken. Clean the ball and drop it as near as possible to where it layed but not nearer the hole.
11. Each hole must be played out completely - counting all strokes. A player may not pickup and just take a certain score because he is playing poorly or has lost the hole.
12. Each player must post a tee time which he normally can arrive by. A player is given a 15 minute grace period beyond his posted tee time to arrive. If he has not arrived by then or has not notified his opponent when he will arrive it is considered a forfeit. The latest tee time allowed will be 5:15. All matches must be played by the Scheduled date unless there is a rain out and then it must be completed by the following Sunday or it is a forfeit. No matches can be made up after a league night. No Matching of scorecards except on rain out make up days (Tuesday-Sunday).
13. Any team having more than four forfeits by their players combined will not be eligible to play in any of the league tournaments.
14. The league is played using Match Play Rules, which means a hole is either won or tied.
15. Scoring of Points.
A. The difference between you and your opponents handi-cap will determine how many strokes will be given the player with the higher handi-cap. A player may not receive more than one stroke per hole if the handi-cap difference is more than 9. If the handi-cap difference is more than 9 the higher handi-cap player will receive 1 stroke on each hole.
C. Four points will also be awarded to the team with the total lowest net score. This is figured by adding the net score (actual score minus their handi-cap) of each player on a team and comparing it to the opposing team. If the teams tie then two points is awarded to each team.
D. FORFEITS The player receiving the forfeit must still play and turn in a scorecard. The players scorecard will then be matched up against the corresponding player (using Handi-Cap order) from the highest ranked team going into the current week on the same side the player plays or if it is the first week of the half it will be a team draw out blindly by the President of the league. The player will then earn points based on the matching of those scorecards. The team having the forfeit against them will not be eligible for any points from the matching of the scorecards and they will not eligible for the four points for team low net. The team receiving the forfeit will receive the additional 4 points for team low net.
16. Score Cards - Make sure that your team number is beside your name so that the handi-cap person will know which team you are playing for. This is especially crucial for subs.
17. The league will be divided into two halves, where the first half winner will play the second half winner for the league championship. There will also be a position round at the middle and end of each half.
18. New players must turn in a score for a minimum of 18 holes to establish a handi-cap. If they do not they will be given a handi-cap of zero.
19. Handi-caps are figured by taking the best 5 of your last 6 scores, averaging them and then taking 90% of the average. Handi-caps can be less than zero. For players with only 4 scores we take 85% of the average, 3 scores 80% of the average, and 2 scores 75% of the average. Handi-Caps will use USGA rules on the maximum score a player may count on each hole according to his handi-cap as shown below.
18 Hole Handi-Cap Maximum Score Used in Figuring Handi-cap
0 - 9 Double Bogey
10 - 19 7
20 - 29 8
30 - 39 9
40 - 49 10
20. Rain out days will be done on the following Wednesday or anytime the same week through Sunday. A player can match scorecards for rain-out If you cannot play on Wednesday please inform Tracy Miller or Brian Klingerman so that they are aware of any such changes.
21. Prize money will be awarded based on the number of points a team accumulates for both halves totaled. A bonus will be paid to the teams that finish 1st and 2nd for each half. Another bonus will be paid to the teams which finish as League Champion and Runner-Up. Another portion of the team entry fee will go towards the food at the league Blow-Out. The amounts will be decided after the number of teams is deteremined.
22. There will be an entry fee of $60.00 per team for the Mid-Season 2-Best Ball and the League Blow-Out Handi-Cap Scramble, which will be paid at the tournament. Plus any skins games during the tournament.
